Jess Sahagian is a multi-hyphenate creative-slash-technology-slash-diagnostically-interesting human. By day, she’s an award-winning product and engineering leader at high-growth startups. By night (or let’s be honest, very early morning), she writes and illustrates picture books—usually while covered in stickers.

After graduating from the College of the Holy Cross, Jess bounced through a delightful mix of careers: tech publishing, web design, content creation, financial analysis, higher ed... you name it, she tried it. Eventually, she realized she was a builder at heart and jumped into engineering leadership—though she's always had at least one side project (okay, five) going at once.

At 26, Jess was officially diagnosed with ADHD (though honestly, everyone kind of knew). At 34, she was told she’s likely autistic—because apparently, projects aren’t the only things she collects in multiples. These diagnoses helped her finally understand how her brain works and, more importantly, how to lean into it with joy instead of shame.

She holds official-looking papers from Worcester State University (Business), Boston University (Computer Science), and the Quantic School of Business and Technology (Executive MBA, Strategy).

In 2020, mid-pandemic and three months pregnant, Jess and her husband relocated from Boston to the Merrimack Valley, where they share a love/hate relationship with their lawn and a pure, unconditional love for their 4-year-old son, Sam.

If you’ve read one of her books, she’d love to hear what you think! You can reach her at jsahagianco@gmail.com or find her online under one of her many project aliases.
